With reference to art. 16 of the Notice of the Competition for Young Opera Singers, Teatro Lirico Sperimentale di Spoleto “A. Belli” can use for vacant roles of the opera to be performer singers selected through specific auditions. According to applications presented the Institution can fix some days for auditions every year in March, April, May and June.

Following to many calls, the Teatro Lirico Sperimentale also organizes

Free auditions
The auditions will take place in Spoleto 28 April 2010


 for singers who do not belong to European Union countries and singers who are out of the age limits (see art. 1 of the Notice of the Competition for Young Opera Singers). Participants have to present two arias of choice from repertory operas and have to send by mail or fax to:

the following documents:

  1. Application (no tax stamps necessary) with full personal information (as in the enclosed application);
  2. One passport photo and one full length photo;
  3. Copy of the receipt for Euro 35,00 to be paid by postal order or by deposit slip on the postal current account n. 16814063 made out to Teatro Lirico Sperimentale “A. Belli”, P.zza G. Bovio 1 – 06049 Spoleto, as admission fee for organizational expenses (order invoice will be issued by the Institution); the admission fee could also be paid on the same day of the audition;
  4. Curriculum;


Accompanying pianists will be available for contestants. However contestants can be accompanied by a pianist of their choice at their own expenses.

Teatro Lirico Sperimentale will confirm every convocation by phone or fax. No travelling or board and lodging expenses will be paid to the participants. Teatro Lirico Sperimentale, if it will be necessary, reserves in its unquestionable opinion, the right to use the singers graded as suitable in vacant roles in the Opera Season 2010 or in other activities.
