On stage from August 11th to September 24th, 2022 in Spoleto and in the leading Teatri dell’Umbria: Perugia, Città di Castello, Foligno, Todi e Terni.

The Authors of music and texts: George Bizet, Marius Constant, Jean-Claude Carrière, Peter Brook, Giorgio Strehler, Fiorenzo Carpi, Alessandro Solbiati, Matteo Giuliani, Giuseppe Sellitti, Leonardo Vinci, Gustav Mahler, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, Lorenzo Da Ponte.

Actors- Conductors: Carlo Palleschi, Marco Angius, Pierfrancesco Borrelli, Salvatore Percacciolo.

Directors: Alessio Pizzech, Giorgio Bongiovanni, Andrea Stanisci and Henning Brockhaus.

Spoleto, April 26^th 2022 – 76^ma Stagione Lirica Sperimentale of Spoleto e dell’Umbria starts.
Thursday, August 11th 2022, 8.30 p.m. (preview open to audience), Friday, August 12th 2022   6.00 p.m. (I performance), Saturday, August 13th 2022 12.00 a.m. and 8.30 p.m.(II and III performance), Sperimentale stages “La tragédie de CARMEN” by Marius Constant, Jean-Claude Carrière and Peter Brook, adaptation by George Bizet, Meilhac, Halevy and Prosper Mérimée. Its musical conducting belongs to learned baton of Carlo Palleschi. While directing is on behalf of Alessio Pizzech, stage set of Andrea Stanisci and lights of Eva Bruno. The actors are the solo singers and musicians of Teatro Lirico Sperimentale of Spoleto. Then Stagione Lirica Regionale 2022 will be also playing at the main theaters in Umbria from September 21st to 24th 2022. Tournée starts Wednesday September 21st at 8.30 p.m. in Auditorium San Domenico of Foligno, then going to Teatro degli Illuminati of Città di Castello – Thursday September 22nd 2022 at 8.30 p.m. -, at Teatro Comunale of Todi – Friday September 23^rd at 8.30 p.m. – and to end at Teatro Sergio Secci of Terni Saturday September 24th at 8.30 p.m.

Officially starting the 76th season, this year it is an opera IN WORLD PREMIÈRE, upon libretto by Giorgio Strehler, “LA PORTA DIVISORIA”, music by Fiorenzo Carpi and end by Alessandro Solbiati, transcription by Matteo Giuliani, on stage at Teatro Caio Melisso of Spoleto Friday 2nd and Saturday 3rd September 2022 8.30 p.m., Sunday September 4th 2022 5.00 p.m.. On the podium the maestro Marco Angius, directed by Giorgio Bongiovanni.

Collaboration with Centro Studi Pergolesi-Università degli Studi di Milano keeps on, thanks to it in absolute premiere is going onstage the intermezzo “LA FRANCHEZZA DELLE DONNE” by Giuseppe Sellitti, libretto of Tommaso Mariani, in the new critic edition by Antonio Dilella, together with the intermezzo “L’AMMALATO IMMAGINARIO” by Leonardo Vinci, in the critics edition by Gaetano Pitarresi.

Acoustic Ensemble and solo singers of Teatro Lirico Sperimentale, conducted by Pierfrancesco Borrelli and directed by Andrea Stanisci.

Wednesday September 14th 2022 at 9.00 p.m., in the Monterosso Hall of the Complesso di Villa Redenta in Spoleto, the live- show with  “OPERALIEDER – LE DONNE, I CAVALLIER, L’ARME, GLI AMORI”, opera with nusic by Gustav Mahler.

The theatre programme of the 76^ma Stagione Lirica Sperimentale of Spoleto and of Umbria ends with the new stage set of “DON GIOVANNI” by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart upon libretto by Lorenzo Da Ponte (Edizioni Kalmus). On stage at Teatro Nuovo of Spoleto these days Friday September 16th (I performance) and Saturday September 17th (II performance), at 8.30 p.m. and Sunday September 18th (III performance) at 5.00 p.m.. In the days of Tuesday September 13rd (6.00 p.m.), Wednesday September 14th (4.00 p.m.) and Thursday September 15th (6.00 p.m.) held the previews for the students, seniors and associations. In addition, opera is on stage Monday September 19th and Tuesday September 20th at 9.00 p.m. at Teatro Morlacchi of Perugia, part of the tournée of Stagione Lirica Regionale 2022. Directed by Salvatore Percacciolo and Henning Brockhaus.

Protagonists of the Stagione are the singers that are the winners and suitable singers of 2021 and 2022 Competitions, not to mention those that Art Direction has chosen among the singers that attended auditions and singers winners of the previous editions.
