LA FURBA E LO SCIOCCO

In collaboration with the Centro Pergolesi - Università degli Studi di Milano, the Teatro Lirico Sperimentale is presenting on Friday 14th September 2018 (9 pm), on Saturday 15th September 2018 (9 pm) and on Sunday 16th September 2018 (5 pm), at the Teatro Caio Melisso, La furba e lo sciocco. It is a comic 18th-century intermezzo, libretto by Tommaso Mariani and music by Domenico Sarri. This critical edition by the musicologist Eric Boaro is an important rediscovery. The conductor is Pierfrancesco Borrelli, who is an expert musician in the baroque repertoire. The direction and set is by the scenographer and costume designer Andrea Stanisci who designed the sets and the costumes for over 150 performances, collaborating with Memè Perlini, Franco Però, Giorgio Pressburger and many others. He made his debut as an opera director in 2009 with Il cuoco e la Madama for the Teatro Lirico Sperimentale. The soloist singers of this production are the soprano Susanna Wolff and the baritone Paolo Ciavarelli accompanied by the Ensemble of the Teatro Lirico Sperimentale.
