Due to the closing of the Teatro Morlacchi in Perugia because of restoration works, an additional representation was scheduled in Assisi.
The traditional opera that is being represented in Spoleto at Teatro Nuovo and as part of the Regional Opera Season in Umbria is the masterpiece by Giuseppe Verdi La Traviata. This production features the singers, the choir and the orchestra of the Teatro Lirico Sperimentale under the baton of the well-known Umbrian conductor Carlo Palleschi.
Director Giorgio Bongiovanni; the set and the costumes, respectively by Andrea Stanisci and Clelia De Angelis, are far from being traditional and they will greatly surprise the audience. The singers of the Teatro Lirico Sperimentale, who are going to alternate one with another for the 12 performances that are being staged in Spoleto and in Umbria, are going to sing in the following roles: in the role of Alfredo Emanuel Bussaglia and Ivaylo Mihaylov (Alessandro Fiocchetti); in the role of Violetta Zdislava Bocková, Maria Luisa Lattante and Miryam Marcone (Noemi Umani); in the role of Flora Daniela Nineva and Noemi Umani (Miryam Marcone); in the role of Giorgio Germont Domenico Balzani, Ferruccio Finetti and Daniel Lee; in the role of Gastone Alessandro Fiocchetti; in the role of Dottor Grenvil Giordano Farina.
