The opera will be represented at Teatro Caio Melisso di Spoleto on September 6-7-8 2019. New production made by the British composer John Palmer, with the direction of Alessio Pizzech, the set design of Andrea Stanisci and the costumes by Clelia De Angelis. The conductor is Vittorio Parisi. The libretto and the dramaturgy are by the Librettist author/journalist Cristina Battocletti. The opera is freely inspired on a murder who upset the Italian opinion in 2010. The opera Il Re di Donne (The King of Women) explores the problem of femicide by investigating the disturbing psychological aspects taking place in a power game between two women and a man involved in a sex-triangle in Pisa, Tuscany.Soloist singers of the Teatro Lirico Sperimentale di Spoleto “A. Belli” will be accompanied by Ensemble of the Teatro Lirico Sperimentale di Spoleto “A. Belli”. In addition, this opera has received a prize from the renowned Ernst Von Siemens Foundation.
